can you name me another sports where one team is sat inside and the other is outside. You have a one min break between each ball and then a 5 min break between each wicket. Most of the time the fielders just stands there like statues. If its excitment that you want then football is your game but if you are looking for a slow and boring sport then its cricket

Cricket is a wonderful game played by gentleman/women.It is great to play and watch and will continue to grow to unprecedented heights in the next decade thanks to 20/20.which is much easier to digest for new converts.

someone told about Wordsworth saying crickt is played by 11 fools

in modern cricket,, there is everything done to make the sport popular. IN cricket, the only thin permanent is change itself. It has properly adapted to make it a proper game

the best format of cricket, T20, is becoming more popular than any other sport in Asia and Europe.

Cricket is a good excersice, a test of patience, skill, mentality, concentration, and some uncertainity. A person interested to spend more time in cricket can watch test, while those who have less time can easily watch the slog overs or simply t20. Cricket has also brought countries close to each other. If it was not for cricket, perhaps the India pakistan problems would worsen..

reason why england are not passionate is because they are jealous, but dont want to explain it. THEY STILL DID NOT WIN A WORLD CUP, whereas srilanka won it soon after getting test status.

Cricket is the best game out!! I love cricket..It is so popular in Australia..I love watching a 5 day test mtch between Australia and another good test playing country..or any country for that matter 50/50 cricket is great too and 20/20 has become very popular around the world too..Man i love everything cricket..Yeah it is a game with a lot of rules and technicality but once you get to learn all about them cricket is an awesome game to get into>.Even conditions of the wicket (Pitch) havea lot to do with the game.. Good batting sides and great fielding and catches..it's exciting and yes a great spectator sport..I have a fantastic time when i go to the cricket.. I hope more countries around the world embrace this great sport...cheers .. Nicko

It has been decades but still the sport has not gained popularity. It is seriously only played by 8 or 10 countries. The Europeans have not taken it very seriously and nor the country which invented the game (U.K.) they are passionate about Football. I saw that there are so many here commenting that it is an expensive game then why did not the US and the Europeans take it seriously, I have never seen a Chineese or Koreans playing the sport? It is a total timewaste. T-20 has gained popularity because the game has got shortened. Everything that is now in cricket from the pomp pomp girls to the IPL etc. has been copied from the format of Football.

Football requires a lot of strength, stamina, skill and intelligence to execute the game. Cricket is just a game of mere luck, there is no physical contact when playing cricket. Wordsworth correctly defines Cricket as "Cricket is a game played by 11 fools, watched by 11000 others and the biggest fool is the Umpire".
