What has Sir Donald Bradman done to change how Australia play cricket now??

By

I have got a project on this question some answers would be good. What has Sir Donald Bradman done to change how Australia play cricket now??

Wow, how to answer this… Deciphering the difference between 1928 n 2008, I’ll throw something down that maybe able to help u out. Batting between the years of 1930 n 1950 he endured a lot of different cricketing styles, none more prominant then the ‘body line’ series.

Being the sporting idol through the ‘great depression’ I spose you could say that would of inspired a lot of Australians to follow in his footsteps, meaning follow ur dreams amd never say die attitude. Australia to this day has that same attitude towards anything we do.

I don't know that anything he did when he played would have any affect on today's game. He has been dead for a few years now, & it is over half a century since he last played cricket. Take no notice of the poster above me, they DID sledge in those days as they still do.

They try to protect their averages to get higher ones, unlike Gilly who was the most unselfish batsman of all time, he never tries to protect his average, everytime the team was in the position he would go for it unselfishly, too bad others don't follow his example as no one will ever get near Don Bradman so they shouldn't bother to try

well he hasnt done anything for afew years to help change how we play cricket, but considering he's dead thats probably not surprising.

i honestly dont think he did much to change how we play the game, looking at the basics bradman always tried to hit the ball on the ground and everyone these days tries to hit the ball over the fence, so he didnt make a change there.

however when he was the chairman of the ACB (as it was then) in the late 70s he was againist raising player payments even tho the board was making so much money for them, so the refusal to up the pay was a conributing factor in players of that era signing to play world series cricket, so maybe if you find some books on world series cricket or the players that were involved in it you may get some information on that much

aside from that he just inspired millions of aussie kids for generations to pick up a bat
