Cricket bats are generally made from English Willow, a very hard wood that doesn't split or crack easily. The choice of willow is critical to the quality of the bat. Some bats are made by machines, while the best are made by master cricket bat makers who individually hand craft and hand shave the cricket bats they make. The hand made bats are usually of better quality (last longer, better smack to the impact of the ball), although some well made machined bats exist when the right willow is selected.

i think they use willow. i suppose they are made by a machine that make cricket bats.

They grind up dead crickets into powder and mix it with paste, which drys into cement, and they are then molded into bats. This all happens on an assembly line.
