I say it’s a close tie. Gray Nicholls has a huge variety of bats, tailored for every player, of any capability. Kookaburra I also find is very good. A tad bit heavy, and their junior brand ain’t GREAt, but can be dominant in the hands of a good player. References :
i guess it depends how serious you are, that limits your price range 2- i have always had a preference of Puma and Kookaburra. the Kookaburra beast is pretty sweet or the Kahuna References :
any wood worm bat. they are so good to hit runs and control the ball. A personal favourite.
First grade senior bats range from around $350 to $700. wroth it! References :

anything grey nicholls is good, i personally have the grey nicholls jet, hasnt let me down yet .
but i guess it depends on youe height and whether you like using heavy or light bats, but grey nicholls has a good range all shapes and sizes of cricket bats
