How does the “carbon handle” affect cricket bats?

the carbon handle is supposed to help give greater control and power. as for the handles snapping this is true. Gray Nic say that about 1 in 10 are being affected. I have one (1000 series) and two other players from my team also have them. both of them have had the handles in their bat snap but so far so good with mine.

if it does happen GN will replace the handle for you if you return it to the place of purchase. however you will be without your bat for up to 6 weeks at the moment as it is cricket season and therefore it will take longer for them to get the time to replace the handle (they are repalced with old style ones not another carbon handle).

know two people who have had the problem and was made aware of the issue by supplier at the time that i bought my bat.
